Hotel Settings

Configure identity and policies before daily operations. Change one area at a time, save it, and verify the affected workflow with a non-Owner role.

Safe-change procedure

  1. Record the current value and the reason for change.
  2. Make the update during a low-traffic window if it affects rates, tax, payment, or availability.
  3. Save and refresh the page to confirm persistence.
  4. Run the smallest complete workflow affected by the change.
  5. Tell the operational team what changed and when it takes effect.

Example: changing check-in time

Change standard check-in from 14:00 to 15:00, then verify a new confirmation email, public booking policy, arrival board, and early-arrival handling. Existing reservations may retain their original agreement, so communicate the policy instead of silently applying it to historical bookings.

Avoid these mistakes

  • Do not change production currency after financial activity begins without a migration/reconciliation plan.
  • Do not reuse sandbox payment credentials in live mode.
  • Do not publish a room type before its capacity, images, rate, and policy are complete.
  • Do not grant broad permissions merely to make a hidden page appear.
